The rythmo band tools
The rythmo band toolbar holds everything you need to build and refine your dub. Tools act at the playhead (the current position) or on the selected line.
Dialogue lines
- Add: inserts a new dialogue line.
- Cut: cuts the selected line at the playhead (handy: position playback, then cut).
- Delete: deletes the selected line.
- Link right / Link left: links the selected line to the one on its right or left.
- Letters: adjusts a line's timing letter by letter, for fine sync.
Markers and annotations
- Scene: marks a scene change at the playhead. The Scenes tool lists every scene and lets you jump to it.
- End of line (OUT): marks the end of a dialogue line.
- Note: adds a direction note at the playhead.
- Breath and Reaction: insert the matching glyphs.
Lip detection
The Detection tool lets you place lip-detection marks manually (labial, half-labial, "cul-de-poule", opening, etc.). Placement is manual, line by line.
Loops
- A-B loop: sets or clears a playback loop between two points.
- Named loops: manages named recording loops (the croisillé loops), used to organize sessions and feed the croisillé export.
Offset and tracks
- Offset: shifts the whole band (lines and scenes) by a signed duration.
- Tracks: add or remove tracks to stack several lines in parallel (simultaneous characters).
- 2 bands: shows the source band above the translated band (see Translation and subtitles).
Zoom
Zoom the timeline in or out to work frame-level or see the whole picture. You can also navigate with ⌘ + wheel.
Automatic processing
Some tools launch background processing (recognizable by their color):
- Detect cuts: automatically detects the video's shot changes.
- Translate: translates the band into another language.
- AI dubbing: generates an AI voice for the selected line.
Track these jobs in the Tasks window (⌥ + T).
