Browsers and performance

Voxdub is a web app: you use it in the browser, with no installation.

Supported browsers

Voxdub works on all modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). We recommend Chrome for the best experience, especially for recording and rendering.

Internet connection

An internet connection is required: projects and processing (AI voices, translation, render) rely on our servers.

Desktop version

A desktop version is available for macOS and Windows, if you prefer a dedicated app.

The editor is slow or freezes

On long projects or after many operations in the same tab:

• reload the page: this is often enough, and your saved changes are kept;
• close other memory-heavy tabs;
• allow microphone access for recording (a browser prompt may appear);
• make sure your browser is up to date.
