Saving and version history

Voxdub keeps a version history of your project, so you can roll back if needed.

Autosave

If autosave is enabled (in your account settings), your changes are saved regularly and versions are created automatically. You can set the save interval.

The save state is shown at the top of the editor: Saved, Saving…, Unsaved changes, or Failed.

Manual save

The Save button (or ⌘ + S) forces an immediate save and creates a version marked Manual save in the history. Useful before an important operation.

Note: the editor has no classic "Undo" function. To go back, use the version history.

History tab

The History tab (in the script panel) lists versions, with their origin:

  • Manual save
  • Autosave
  • Restore point

For each version, you can preview it (read-only) then restore it after confirmation.

What restoring does not do

Restoring returns the project to the chosen version's state, but does not restore media (videos, recordings). A safety restore point is created automatically before each restore.
